Esubalew Chekol is an Ethiopian software engineer and researcher recognized for his work at the intersection of theoretical computer science and practical software engineering. His expertise spans low-level systems programming in Rust and C++, as well as machine learning and artificial intelligence in Python.

He is best known as the creator of Run, a universal, multi-language command-line runner and smart REPL written in Rust. Run provides a unified interface to execute and experiment with code across more than 25 programming languages without the need for separate compilers or interpreters. Designed for developers, educators, and researchers, it supports language detection, persistent REPL sessions, and cross-platform compatibility.
